Your future city evolves
Through real-world testing, tactical interventions guide long-term transformation, linking streets, mobility, and public space into integrated urban systems.

Gives permission to begin
Lightweight pilots that test an idea quickly with minimal investment.

Gives credibility to transform
Tactical urbanism as an interim phase, using paint, furniture, and removable elements to make change visible and testable over time.

Gives durability to scale and replicate
Permanent infrastructure built from what testing proved, embedding change through hard reconfiguration of space and landscape.

Gives direction and meaning
The long-term vision of what a block, street, or district could become through ongoing iteration and investment.
OUR APPROACH
We design integrated urban systems that help cities transform public space, initiate tactical pilots, roll out mobility hubs, and redesign the curbside.
YF City bridges local and global: tactical implementation for cities ready to test and build, strategic advisory for organizations navigating integrated urban systems
URBAN DESIGN | Human-scaled spaces, multi-modal, transit-oriented neighborhood planning
MOBILITY | First-mile/last-mile hub networks that connect communities and transportation options
TACTICAL URBANISM | Temporary interventions that grow into lasting urban impact
TECHNOLOGY | Public space digitization and digital twin strategies and management

We partner with cities to test small interventions that build momentum and long-term, system-wide urban change.

We help developers turn temporary activation into lasting, connected assets that shape thriving communities.

We work with transit authorities to expand transit impact beyond stations through phased, multimodal infrastructure and urban integration.

We collaborate with Business Improvement Areas / districts to transform streets and public spaces, boosting vitality, engagement, and community identity.

We guide planners and designers to integrate multimodal systems and phased placemaking strategies that evolve neighborhoods over time.

Through education and training, we equip the next generation of urban leaders with tactical, mobility, and implementation tools to shape your future city.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Yuval Fogelson has spent his career moving between disciplines, countries, cultures, and scales: from painting streets in São Paulo to researching the future of mobility in Vancouver.
Yuval sees cities as complex, living systems: programmable and editable, shaped by how we design streets, move through them, and inhabit our shared public space.
He founded YF City to bring that methodology to cities that need it most, testing small, building trust, and scaling what works into permanent change across city-wide networks.
